 How a spoiler is made

Quality manufacturing must begin with the finest raw materials available. Recognizing this from the outset, Spoilerdepot has established its longstanding reputation as a quality manufacturer by constructing its spoilers of the highest quality components.

We start with DCPD resins at the core of the part, coupled with Alpha Owens Corning ™ fiberglass to consistently produce strong, lightweight, flawless parts. We then incorporate easy-sanding gelcoat, followed by Dupont™ 2K urethane primer for a seamless velvety part that begs to be painted.

The painting process begins with automated fine grit sanding, two primary and one secondary coat of high grade BASF(makers of Galzurete™)automotive paint. Our proprietary clearcoat process, DoubleClear, consists of an almost simultaneous double application for a thicker glasslike surface that can stand up to years of waxing. In addition, UV inhibitors are combined with the clearcoat to further protect the luster of the paint. Our painting facilities feature downdraft paint booths that prevent dust and particles from lodging in the paint.

A painted spoiler needs extra protection during shipping. All of our spoilers are carefully packed in oversized boxes, wrapped and braced in foam. This ensures that upon arrival, your spoiler remains in pristine condition, ready to install.

No manufacturing process is complete without stringent quality control checks. As a spoiler takes shape, it must pass a quality control inspection at each stage of the production line. Just before shipping, every single part is checked against a corresponding color chip in our color library, ensuring that the color of your spoiler will match exactly.

Most spoiler companies online will either directly or indirectly discourage you from buying the spoiler pre-painted. The reason for this is quite simple. Only a large, experienced organization with a well developed infrastructure can consistently produce perfect paint jobs. Local body shops, who represent another alternative, will generally charge you more than you would pay here. Remember, if you pay less than $85 for a spoiler paint job it is likely that low quality materials are being used. Only large volume paint operations can afford to provide painting services at our prices.

We stand behind the aforementioned with our Warranty on Paint and Manufacturing, which protects the original purchaser from any defect in paint or manufacturing.

Now that’s standing behind your product!!
